Hi, I’m Ana, the founder of Maia & Belle. My love for fabrics and artistry began before I could even speak.
My Luso-African grandmother was a fashion designer and boutique owner, crafting her own pieces and curating beautiful finds from abroad. My mom worked alongside her, often bringing me along as a baby. I grew up surrounded by color, texture, and creativity—and that world left a lasting imprint on me.
Years later, while living on my own, I picked up sewing almost instinctively—as if it had been waiting for me all along. What started as a quiet hobby in my bedroom slowly blossomed into Maia & Belle: a hair accessories brand rooted in joy, self-expression, and the creative legacy passed down through generations.
